Vision and Mission

The department of philosophy aims at providing quality education to enlighten the future generation of society. The department aims at academic excellence and promotes higher education as a pathway to world development.

The mission of the department is to impart philosophical knowledge to students by acquainting them with remarkable works in the history of philosophy, from the early period to the present age. It also aims at developing awareness and logical thinking among students about the basic issues and problems of philosophy, equipping them intellectually to deal with these issues.

Efforts are made to expose students to various ideas and trends in philosophy through extracurricular activities such as seminars and group discussions, with an academic base.
