Vision and Mission of the Department:

• To introduce the students with the field of Assamese Literature and Culture.
• To emphasize on functional scope of academic attributes of Assamese Literature and Language.
• To introduce the students with the scope of information technology in Assamese Language and Literature.
• To highlight the misuse of Assamese language in electronic media and social media and to make students aware for the prevention of these problems.
• To highlight the applied direction of Translation studies.
